Hvidovre – Silkeborg

Silkeborg is far from the team that once heavily dominated the ball, and especially away on natural grass, they don’t get many corner kicks. In fact, they haven’t had the most corner kicks in any away match yet. Hvidovre typically plays aggressively at home, which results in many corner kicks. On average, Hvidovre has had five corner kicks in their home games, and if they fall behind as expected, they’ll have to take the initiative in the game.

FC Copenhagen – Vejle

The card kings from Vejle are set to play the toughest match of the season on paper. It’s hard to see an away game in Parken not resulting in many cards. FC Copenhagen’s nimble offensive players pose significant challenges to Vejle’s more physical players, and they drew three yellow cards in the reverse fixture. FC Copenhagen typically doesn’t draw many cards against the smaller teams in the league, where they dominate, so Vejle should be the clear favorites to get the most cards.

Lyngby – AGF

There have been relatively few corner kicks in AGF’s away games. In the last four away games, there have been at most eight corner kicks, which could easily become the trend. Excluding their opening match against FC Copenhagen, Lyngby hasn’t had many corner kicks at home. It could be a game with many duels in the middle of the field and few situations leading to corner kicks. There were also only eight corner kicks the last time these two teams met in Lyngby.

Viborg – FC Nordsjælland

It makes no sense that FC Nordsjælland are favorites to get the most cards in this game. They are the fairest playing team in the Superliga with a mere 15 yellow cards and zero red cards in the first 11 matches of the season. Moreover, their top card offender, Mohamed Diomande, is suspended and won’t be drawing any cards here. While Viborg is also a relatively fair-playing team and has one of their card-prone players, Ibrahim Said, suspended, they should still be the favorites to get the most cards.

Randers – Brøndby

Recently, Randers has been on a gameplay upswing, and their more offensive approach to matches has also resulted in more corner kicks. They’ve had 14 corner kicks in their last two matches, where against both Silkeborg and FC Midtjylland they had the most corner kicks, even when they were the underdogs and had a result to defend for much of the game. Only against the two promoted teams and against AGF, where they had a man advantage for 70 minutes, did they have the most corner kicks away. Randers also clearly had the most corner kicks in the reverse fixture.
